About

Forest Knolls Pool is a Members Only, community owned and operated pool tucked away in the forest on the edge of Northwest Branch Park off Colesville Rd and University Blvd in Silver Spring, MD.  The 25 meter pool features high and low diving boards, a toddler pool, a basketball court, volleyball court and large shade trees—the perfect setting for a relaxing swim or picnic during the summer season.

This welcoming, safe and family-friendly environment is home to the Seahawks swim team and the scene of birthdays, live music and other community events.

Visit this site regularly for the latest information about the many things Forest Knolls Pool has to offer, including a wide range of entertainment, including Memorial Day, Fourth of July and Labor Day events,  and other special events we organize during the season. We hope to see you at the pool this summer.

SOCIAL EVENTS!

We will keep you informed about social events when more information becomes available.

Pool Management and Staff: The Forest Knolls Pool Board retains a professional management company (Lighthouse Pools, Inc.) to employ, train and supervise the staff to manage pool operations, daily administration, and safety requirements. Staff members, most of whom are part of the community, share our commitment to providing outstanding service and ensuring the overall safety of our members. If you or someone you know might be interested in seeking a pool staff position, please contact Bruce Schaper at [email protected].

Party Rentals: Summer 2023  – Pavilion rentals temporarily unavailable. You may instead rent tables with a tent canopy for a $25 fee (due at start of event). Please email [email protected] to reserve a time from 12-3pm (12:30-3:30pm if there is a home swim meet) or 4-7pm (first come, first serve). Non-members in attendance must register at front desk and regular guest fees and policies apply. Please let us know if you plan to have more than 15 non-member guests.

Volunteers: Forest Knolls Pool is a member-owned pool and depends on volunteers to upkeep the pool and its grounds. Substantial volunteer effort is required all year around to avoid added maintenance costs and operating expenses. There are many ways members can contribute to upkeep and beautification of the pool property or otherwise help to keeping the pool running. Please reach out to the board to volunteer!
